I love a good documentary, especially nutrition related ones.
Documentaries make learning so much more fun than sitting down and trying to read a bunch of different studies.
Does that sound lazy? Maybe. But is it productive? Absolutely.
In today’s day and age, there’s so much to be done that it’s hard to sit down and try to gain knowledge without going crazy. Try chasing down a toddler while trying to stay up to date on all of the fitness and nutrition information that’s coming out a mile a minute. I can tell you it doesn’t work very well.
Enter in awesome documentaries.
I like being able to sit down at the end of a long day and stare at a screen. Most of us do. It’s a sad state we’re in. But at least I’m not mindlessly watching characters do stupid things on a screen, I’m actually retaining information. And this way, I can learn while getting my workout in, folding laundry, or even while cooking. I also feel 10000% less guilty, because I’m learning how to better help my future clients, my family, and myself.
Plus, I usually end up find a documentary on a specific topic that makes mention of another topic. And another topic. And another. Next thing I know, my wish list on Amazon is a million books long and my Netflix list is 100 movies longer than it was before. I love it. I love that I can expand my knowledge and get excited about it.
Anyway, enough with my babbling. Here is the following list of some of my favorite documentaries. It will eventually be organized alphabetically and by category. I will also be adding to it while I find more documentaries that I love. So check back often to see what else you need to check off of your list!
These documentaries make learning this stuff fun and intriguing. It’s all in laymen’s terms and very easy to understand. If you’re like me, you’ll end up diving deeper into topics that you never would’ve thought existed, let alone interesting. I went through the entirety of the “documentaries” section on Netflix last week ad I have a massive list. I actually have a ton in my “list” on Netflix as well, but I wanted to share all of the ones that looked interesting. So if you end up watching some on my “to watch” list, be sure to let me know how you like them!
